We accidently came across this place. I was looking for a restaurant that served Charleston/SC famous steamed oysters. Our hotel manager suggested this place. It was away from touristy downtown Charleston but near to our hotel. The ambiance was very relaxed and informal. They had steamed oysters on menu. Much cheaper if you make it to happy hour. Our server Nicky was charming and very helpful. He told us if we come on Wednesdays they have special on wine bottle (half price). We were new to the whole oyster scene. So he brought the chef (Matt) to our table to demonstarate how to shuck oysters correctly (South Carolana styel). The steamed oysters were great. Cocktail sauce was very good. And they also had brown butter to dip oysters which I never had with oysters. Delicious!!! Highly recommend this place if you want to try local authentic real Charleston grub away from touristy downtown.

Soft shell crab is awesome! The oysters made my eyes roll back. The service is great. Kyle really listens when you ask for good food recs.

My family of 4 loved this place. Everyone loved their food. The service was friendly . We had chargrilled oysters, vodka oyster shooters, gumbo, shrimp and grits, grilled sword fish, and lobster roll. Everything was amazing!

Pleasantly surprised. Top notch cuisine for a local establishment that appears to simply be a local bar. Interesting menu with emphasis of fresh seafood , well prepared and nicely presented. Real comfortable and casual setting. Great service ( thank you Angela) . Recently relocated from Summerville to West Ashley, this will be a on my list of go to places!

Great locals place for great, very fresh seafood. Oysters, various ways, are the big draw, but they have alot more than that. They have a very good menu variety of seafood. We visited on a weekend right before the big dinner rush. We had reservations, which are suggested, so we got seated pretty quickly. The waiter was great, very friendly, quick, and very responsive, taking our drink order quite quickly after being seated. Drinks arrived within 5 minutes (I ordered an old fashioned so the time was expected), then they took our food order. I got the grilled Mahi tacos, my wife got the monkfish special of the day, one of my sons got the fried shrimp dinner, and the other son got the crab cake sandwich. We also got the char broiled oysters as an appetizer (with NOLA butter and parmesan cheese). The oysters appetizer came out in about 10 minutes and they were AMAZING!! We regretted not ordering more. Both sons tried oysters for the first time with these and loved them! They're hooked! The reat of our food order came out about 10 minutes after the oysters. Everything was GREAT! Very fresh and flavorful. Perfectly cooked. So good I don't think either teenage son chewed their food much, rather they inhaled everything and coughed out the plate. Ha! We were very satisfied with our food. Portions were ample enough to fill you up. Overall we felt the prices weren't that bad at all, considering the quality, freshness, and flavor its a great value. Facilities were clean and well maintained. Everyone there was very friendly and were very good at their job. Only knock is limited parking. I can see why this place is so popular. Between the facilities, staff, and, most importantly, the food, they're definitely doing things right. We will definitely return when we're in the area, and recommend to family and friends.

I tried the clam chowder and it was so comforting. Loved the tangy oysters and the seafood pasta is so flavourful. Definitely recommend this place!!

The oysters were amazing, Chef's special was amazing (I got the pufferfish tails), as well as the crab dip...Doyle, the oyster expert and Kyle, a hospitality expert were both a power team behind the bar giving the best service and advice on oyster selections, menu, and drink items. All so delicious... The kitchen crew and front of house staff were very kind as well. I was hesitant to enter there alone but now I'm determined to be a regular. Don't really leave reviews but it was just such a great group of ppl I had to.
